Explore a fascinating side of Switzerland that combines peaceful lakes, rolling countryside, vineyards and the rugged landscapes of the Jura mountains. The Jura and Seeland Helicopter-Tour takes you on an approximately 54-minute private scenic flight from Bern-Belp Airport across some of the most diverse landscapes in western Switzerland.
From the air, you will discover the lakes of the Seeland, the Jura mountain chain and remarkable natural landmarks such as Creux-du-Van. The route continues through Biel, Delémont and Saint-Ursanne before reaching the distinctive landscape around Saint-Imier and Chasseral.
A particular highlight is the view from Mont Vully, where Lake Murten and Lake Neuchâtel meet the surrounding countryside and, on clear days, the panorama extends towards the Bernese and Vaud Alps.

The Itinerary
Your Jura and Seeland Helicopter-Tour starts at Bern-Belp Airport. Our team welcomes you at the agreed meeting point and gives you a short safety briefing before you board the helicopter.
As you take off, the landscape around Bern gradually opens into the Swiss Lakeland, a region characterised by fertile farmland, vineyards, lakes and small towns.
The flight heads towards Biel/Bienne, situated at the northern end of Lake Biel. From the air, the relationship between the lake, surrounding countryside and Jura foothills becomes particularly clear.
Continuing westwards, the helicopter flies towards Delémont and the historic town of Saint-Ursanne, surrounded by the distinctive landscapes of the Jura. The scenery here is very different from the high mountains of the Bernese Alps, with wooded hills, valleys and broad limestone formations shaping the landscape.
The route then leads towards Saint-Imier and Chasseral, where the characteristic Jura ridges and striking wind turbines create a memorable aerial panorama.
One of the natural highlights follows: Creux-du-Van, an impressive semicircular rock formation often described as the “Grand Canyon of Switzerland”. Seeing this extraordinary geological landscape from above provides a completely different perspective.
The flight then continues over Lake Neuchâtel, before heading back towards the Seeland and Lake Murten.
From the elevated landscape around Mont Vully, you can enjoy a remarkable panorama across the surrounding lakes and countryside. On days with good visibility, the view extends towards the Bernese and Vaud Alps, creating a beautiful contrast between the gentle Seeland landscape and the distant mountain peaks.
